This book needed a cover that could portray the genre and mood of the story.

I worked with a more refined serifed typeface to hint at the genre of the book. This works alongside the illustration, where I included wispy elements, leaves, swords, and berries, and silohuettes to get across the adult age range and fantasy elements. The darker, moodier colors establish a more serious, fantastical, and mysterious mood.
